Rishab Bailey is an advocate and technology policy researcher based in New Delhi, India. He has an undergraduate degree from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India and an advanced master’s degree in Law and Digital Technology from the University of Leiden, Netherlands. He began his career with Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co in Mumbai. Since then, he has gone on to work with various civil society organisations in the technology policy space, notably, Society for Knowledge Commons, and Software Freedom Law Centre, India. He has also been a consultant on law and policy matters at the Founder’s Office of the global software company-ThoughtWorks Inc, and a fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. He is associated with xKDR Foundation, Mumbai where his work focuses on the telecommunications sector, platform regulation, data governance, privacy and data protection, and the regulation of emerging technologies, while also carrying out his independent advocacy work.
